Update on the Alleged Terror Cell
Apr 30th, 2009 by admin
The wheels are turning in the Bolivian terror-cell investigation, and it’s not looking too good for the opposition groups centered in Santa Cruz. And, as always, Bina’s been churning through the Bolivian press and coming up with gold. (I’ve been traveling, so this is a recap–also, I think it’s time to drop the “alleged” descriptor; see below.)
Juan Carlos Gueber Bruno, from the fascist Santa Cruz Youth Union (UJC), has been arrested in Santa Cruz by the national police. Bruno’s accused of supplying weapons to the terror group; he’s also a onetime activist with the Pro-Santa Cruz Committee. (Branko Marinkovic, a longtime adversary of Evo Morales, used to head the PSCC; he’s also been rumored to be involved in the terror plot, although authorities haven’t yet moved in on him.)
Those weapons were to be used to blow up Morales boat last month as he was cruising the waters of Lake Titicaca, on the border of Bolivia and Peru. There seems to be definitive proof now, as the below video demonstrates. It shows Eduardo Rózsa Flores, Michael Dwyer (not looking so innocent now), and Magyaroski Árpád talking about attacking Morales’s boat. They were killed in the raid in Santa Cruz earlier this month–or, as opposition claim, “murdered” by the state. (Better revise those claims now, guys–before you head to the Brazilian border!) I suggest all the Irish and Hungarian authorities view this before they get their panties in a knot once again. (It’s in Spanish, although it’s subtitled–so you can follow what they’re saying if you’ve got a dictionary.)
(Triple H/T to Bina, who’s been on this story from the get-go.)
“No evidence”, eh? I think the Hungarians have some revising of their own to do. So far, everytime Evo’s accused someone of something, it turned out to be true, and his detractors ended up with egg on their faces. Do you think he knows something they don’t? Or are they just slow on the uptake?
